I. Measurement Principle and Structural Features
This product series is based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction and calculates flow rate by measuring the induced electromotive force generated when a fluid cuts magnetic field lines. The sensor consists primarily of a measuring tube, a liner, a pair of electrodes, and an excitation coil, while the converter handles signal processing and output. Structurally, it is available in two configurations: integral and split. The integral type features a compact installation and is suitable for environments with favorable site conditions. The split type separates the converter from the sensor, enabling flexible deployment in high‑temperature, humid, or space‑constrained locations.
II. Selection of Lining and Electrode Materials
To accommodate the characteristics of various media, a variety of material combinations are available for the lining and electrodes.
Lining material:
Neoprene is suitable for ordinary fresh water, raw water, and neutral solutions, and exhibits good abrasion resistance.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) exhibits a broad temperature range and excellent chemical stability, making it suitable for corrosive media such as acids and bases.

Electrode material:

III. Converter Function Configuration

IV. Installation and Operating Conditions
During installation, ensure sufficient straight pipe lengths upstream and downstream of the sensor—typically at least 5 times the pipe diameter upstream and at least 2 times the pipe diameter downstream. Avoid mounting the sensor at the highest point of the pipeline to prevent air bubbles from accumulating. For horizontal installations, keep the electrode axis horizontal; for vertical installations, it is recommended that the fluid flow be from bottom to top. Provide independent grounding using a grounding ring or grounding electrode to eliminate stray current interference.
