Accuracy: Electromagnetic flowmeters are usually ±0.5% (high accuracy reaches ±0.2%), while electromagnetic water meters are mostly Class II (±2%).
Repeatability: Electromagnetic flowmeters use this as a core indicator (such as ±0.16% corresponding to 0.5 level), while electromagnetic water meters pay more attention to starting flow and long-term stability.

Nominal diameter: The maximum nominal diameter of electromagnetic water meters is DN300, while the nominal diameter of electromagnetic flowmeters can reach DN3000.
Power supply: Electromagnetic water meters mostly use batteries (low-power design), while electromagnetic flowmeters rely on mains power or external power supplies.
Protection: Electromagnetic water meters meet the IP68 standard (higher waterproof level), while the protection level of electromagnetic flowmeters varies depending on the environment (such as IP66 or explosion-proof design).
4. Implementation Standards and Maintenance
Standards: Electromagnetic water meters follow the water meter standard "GB/T 778", and electromagnetic flowmeters follow the industry standard "JB/T 9248".
Maintenance: The inspection cycle of electromagnetic water meters is longer (about 2 years), while electromagnetic flowmeters are usually maintained annually by professionals.
Overview: Electromagnetic water meters are flow meters specifically designed for water, low power consumption, and wide range, while electromagnetic flowmeters are general-purpose industrial, high-precision, multi-scenario measurement tools.
